I was introduced to alternative therapies back in 2006, when a very dear friend of mine suggested I try a Reiki session. I had been suffering with chronic back pain for a number of years, following numerous road traffic accidents, and the pregnancies of my 3 children. I had visited doctors and physiotherapists, but the pain had never ceased completely. My friend had recently trained as a Reiki Practitioner and offered me a Reiki session to help with the pain.
After only one session of Reiki I was completely overwhelmed with the results!! My back pain had almost disappeared, and I felt so much happier and at peace overall. Following the Reiki session and the amazing results, I decided I too wanted to train to become a Reiki Practitioner. I carried out my training with a fabulous Reiki Master based in Matlock, Derbyshire. I have now gained training and certificates in Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Master Teacher, which means I am now able to train people to become Reiki Practitioners.
My passion for alternative therapies continued to grow, and in September 2012
I decided to train as a Complementary Therapist at West Notts College.
In July 2013 I qualified with a City and Guilds Level 3 Complementary Therapies Certificate, specialising in Reflexology and Aromatherapy Massage.
I continued my studies, and in 2017 I gained a Bachelors degree with honours in Animal Management, enabling me to work with animals.
